Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, inspect, and initiate company-produced equipment at client locations in accordance with specifications, proposals, and authorized engineering drawings.

• Perform servicing of company products at customer sites through testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments.

• Utilize gauges, meters, and electrical testing instruments to verify specifications and operational parameters.

• Provide customer support via telephone, email, or face-to-face interactions.

• Relay product issues to the Quality and Engineering departments for resolution.

• Conduct training and service programs for customers on equipment operation and upkeep.

• Complete daily expense reports, project activity logs, and documentation specific to projects.

• Assess acceptance of assembled company equipment to activate warranties.

• Maintain technical expertise and remain updated on industry advancements.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

• Ability to apply mathematical concepts involving fractions, ratios, and measurements.

• Capability to read, understand, and translate instruction manuals and diagrams into actionable tasks.

• Proven track record as a Field Service Technician.

• Flexibility and adaptability to a diverse range of job responsibilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving results.

• Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in the use of various power tools.

• High reliability and dependability.

• Expertise in switchgear operation, repair, and installation.

• Familiarity with diesel and natural gas fuel systems.

• Knowledge regarding load banks.

• Understanding of PLCs, including Modicon, Allen Bradley, and Siemens.

• Experience, preferably in power generation or a related field.

• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time, often out of state.
