Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Execute installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs on power generation machinery.

• Diagnose and fix breakers, shutdown switches, wiring harnesses, alternators, battery systems, and control panels.

• Perform root cause analysis on intricate electrical failures.

• Work with arc-resistant systems and conduct field surveys.

• Act as the on-site technical authority, addressing inquiries, educating clients on maintenance best practices, and fostering long-term relationships.

• Clearly communicate with customers regarding issues, solutions, and timelines.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Sales teams on service estimates and parts suggestions.

• Guide junior technicians as you enhance your leadership capabilities.

• Contribute to initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

• Offer emergency assistance when critical systems fail (participating in a rotating on-call schedule).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with generators, governors, regulators, switchgear, or comparable power equipment.

• Possession of a TWIC Card.

• Background in the power generation, utilities, oil & gas, marine, or energy sectors.

• Strong hands-on experience with electrical control systems.

• Skilled in using multimeters, hand tools, wiring equipment, and soldering techniques.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting purposes.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for travel).
