This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Diagnose and repair injection molding machines and robotic systems.
• Execute tests and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software components.
• Carry out calibrations to enhance equipment efficiency.
• Install both software and hardware systems.
• Conduct safety checks on machinery.
• Provide training to customers on equipment usage and proper operation procedures.
• Oversee the resolution of customer issues, including the ordering and installation of replacement parts.
• Identify control-system issues and devise systematic methods for machine repairs.
• Train Service Technicians and customer operators on the maintenance and safe use of injection molding systems.
• Collaborate with Central Service, Manufacturing, and Parts Center teams to address field challenges.
• Submit regular written reports to the Service Manager.
• Engage in remote work at customer locations installing and servicing equipment while offering training and support.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in troubleshooting or processing injection molding, or previous roles as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with injection molding machines is essential.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and computing skills.
• Capability to provide basic training to both customers and employees.
• Comprehensive understanding of the injection molding process.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with microprocessor programming.
• Knowledge of materials including PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other common substances.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
• Competence in managing challenging or dissatisfied customers with tact and diplomacy.
• A dedicated team player with a positive outlook.
• Preferred experience with ENGEL machines and robots.
• Ability to utilize internal resources effectively to resolve customer concerns.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal administrative support.
• A valid passport is required.
• A valid driver's license in good standing that includes a REAL-ID is necessary.
