This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to uncover opportunities for enhancing operations and resolving pain points.
• Carry out field service responsibilities, which include diagnosing technical issues and performing certified troubleshooting on-site.
• Create material lists for service tasks, ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Implement installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers to boost satisfaction.
• Recognize potential new sales prospects while addressing customer requirements and relay this information internally.
• Anticipate potential equipment failures and propose corrective measures.
• Recommend product and quality enhancements.
• Provide management with suggestions to improve operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.
• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 1 year of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate's Degree in electrical technology with more than 3 years of relevant experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work and/or military experience (5+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• Proficient ability to interact and communicate information (both written and verbal) effectively across various levels within the organization.
• Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products.
• Moderate capability in Project Management using MS Project or Excel.
• Strong ability to draft test plans and reports that detail test outcomes.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.
• Demonstrates good collaboration with team members.
• Exhibits a sense of urgency and ownership; committed to completing the task at hand!
• Must already possess work authorization that allows employment with ABB in the US.
