This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to pinpoint areas for operational enhancement and resolve challenges.
• Execute field service responsibilities, including diagnosing technical issues and performing certified on-site troubleshooting.
• Compile material lists for service tasks and ensure that materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Carry out installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and maintain strong customer relationships to boost satisfaction.
• Recognize potential new sales opportunities while addressing customer requirements and relay this information internally.
• Proactively identify potential equipment malfunctions and suggest corrective measures.
• Recommend product and quality enhancements.
• Offer management suggestions for improving operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.
• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 1+ years of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with 3+ years of experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED combined with equivalent work and/or military experience and 5+ years of experience servicing critical power equipment.
• Proficient in interacting and conveying written and verbal information to various organizational levels.
• Strong ability to utilize Microsoft Office products.
• Moderate capability in project management using MS Project or Excel.
• Excellent ability to draft test plans and reports that detail test results.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.
• Effective collaborator.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ownership until tasks are completed.
• Must possess work authorization allowing employment with ABB in the United States.
