Field Service Technician – 2nd Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of customer service and support for our clients.

• Independently diagnose and repair various high-speed cash handling devices.

• Manage and track inventory of parts and tools.

• Keep updated on the technical and functional updates of GLORY equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in or have completed professional studies in electro-mechanics, electrical engineering, or have equivalent work experience.

• Preferred certifications in relevant fields such as mechanics, electronics, automation, or data processing.

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.

• Proficient in personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office, and adept at navigating network sites and email communication.

• Possess logical troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify issues at the PCB or component level.

• Capable of interpreting electric schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

• Knowledge in AC/DC power distribution, and digital/analog circuitry.

• Experience with repairing high-speed paper handling machines like check sorters, mail sorters, currency sorters; experience with ATMs or copiers is a plus.

• Preferred 3-5 years of technical field service repair experience in aviation, medical equipment, vending machine repair, and/or military repair.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• While some computer knowledge is necessary, this role focuses more on electro-mechanical repair.

• The ideal candidate may have some PC knowledge, but this position is not aimed at IT or help desk professionals.

• A company van will be provided, and commuting from your home to customer sites is required; therefore, residing within a reasonable distance from the assigned territory is essential.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

• Must be capable of sitting and/or standing for extended periods, as well as frequently kneeling, bending, squatting, sitting, and twisting.

• Must be available to work at all customer sites as necessary, including financial institutions, casinos (gaming licensing may be required post-hire), truck stops, recreational parks, retail stores, etc.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays on a rotational basis to meet business needs.

• Must be available for an on-call rotation, typically once every 3 to 5 weeks, including evenings and weekends; 24/7 availability may be required on rare occasions.

• Must be able to drive to customer locations during working hours.

• Occasional travel outside your assigned territory, including air and overnight travel, may be necessary.

• Ability to manage limited accessibility at job sites.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
