This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.
• Conduct and provide training on major component replacements and repair services throughout the Invenergy fleet.
• Execute operations and maintenance tasks in a safe manner following Invenergy's policies and protocols.
• Serve as a representative of Invenergy and the Field Service Group to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across various equipment platforms.
• Educate site personnel on safety practices, preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and operational support.
• Lead teams in carrying out significant component replacements and repairs across diverse equipment platforms and manufacturers.
• Resolve intricate electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic challenges.
• Comprehend the electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functionalities of various equipment platforms.
• Conduct equipment and site inspections and prepare detailed reports.
• Fulfill daily and monthly reporting obligations.
• Draft and update component-replacement procedures and documentation.
• Travel for four-week periods away from home, returning for one week off.
• A minimum of one (1) year of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or relevant technical education.
• High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Capability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders independently.
• Proficient in moving and handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs.).
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Capability to work at heights exceeding 80 meters (250 feet).
• Weight must not surpass 120 kg (265 lbs.) when not including job-related equipment/gear.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: two (2) years of technical experience and/or technical education focused on renewable energy systems.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with various equipment platforms is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using software systems for troubleshooting issues.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Candidates receiving a conditional offer must complete drug testing and obtain a negative result prior to commencing employment.
• This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
