Field Service Specialist – West

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee the initiation and commissioning of Armstrong equipment, which includes Variable Frequency Drives and Control Panels.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pumps, automated valves, and various equipment.

• Record field service activities via the online portal.

• Offer on-site training for operators.

• Convey field service observations to the After Sales team.

• Cultivate client relationships, showcase product benefits, and pinpoint further sales opportunities.

• Travel primarily within the Western region, with occasional trips to other areas of the USA.

• Address service requests, complaints, and startup inquiries through phone and email communication.

• Organize and oversee service visits.

• Provide after-hours assistance for urgent service matters.

• Educate service and installation teams, as well as mechanical contractors, on Armstrong products.

• Gather and assess field reports regarding equipment performance and warranty compliance.

• Aid in connecting site equipment to the Internet or customer networks.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, project management, and sales teams on product development and project-specific projects.

• Identify and communicate product challenges, contributing to process and design enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering, or a related discipline, complemented by relevant practical experience.

• Experience with drives, control panels, BAS systems, and automation technologies.

• Familiarity with serial communications is an advantage.

• Demonstrated experience with mechanical pumps and HVAC systems.

• Proficient in MS Office and possess strong software capabilities.

• Background in commercial construction is preferred.

• A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment is essential.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Knowledge of hydronic HVAC systems, Variable Frequency Drives, automation, and Building Automation Controls is favorable.

• Willingness to travel within the Western region up to 60% of the time, including occasional trips to other parts of the USA.

• Capability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
