This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +7 more states.
• Deliver technical installation and commissioning assistance to clients and service teams across the nation regarding smart motor equipment and application support.
• Execute rotating equipment alignment within specified tolerances using dial indicators or laser technology.
• Educate and mentor field service personnel on smart motor installation techniques.
• Provide on-site startup services and troubleshooting for customers in the United States, documenting all procedures and recommendations while generating reports.
• Exhibit the capability to diagnose issues independently and manage tasks to prevent unnecessary damage or downtime caused by improper installation methods.
• Troubleshoot smart motors and related equipment effectively.
• Assist in the assembly of smart motors and related equipment, including manufacturing, fabricating, and repairing modifications associated with smart motor equipment.
• Offer support to the field service and monitoring teams.
• Coordinate personnel for smart motor installation and activation processes.
• Demonstrate an understanding of motor KPV trends.
• Provide assistance to the field service team with site-specific fault diagnosis.
• Adhere to written instructions and complete all designated checkpoints prior to the handover of documentation.
• Promptly inform the Operations Manager of deficiencies in field service tooling and consumables to facilitate replacements.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in proper operating condition and report any deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Execute the established vision for the Field Service department.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization by aligning with safety processes, policies, and regulations, while supporting new initiatives.
• Exemplify and uphold all ITT Code of Conduct rules and guidelines, demonstrating commitment to ITT's vision, mission, and values, and acting in accordance with the Working with One Another program.
• An associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or higher is preferred.
• A trade certificate in Electrical or Electronics is desirable.
• A Restricted Electrical License is preferred or at least 5 years of experience.
• Proficient in advanced electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics as well as Piping and Instrumentation diagrams.
• Experience with process and motor control methodologies is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience and knowledge of various motor types is required.
• Experience in Preventative Maintenance and Reliability is preferred.
• Strongly desirable is experience in people management.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are required.
• A commitment to continuous professional development is essential.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, are required.
