Field Service Engineer – Road Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Dynapac road construction equipment to meet OEM standards.

• Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently.

• Execute scheduled maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs.

• Spot opportunities for additional service offerings, parts, and aftermarket sales.

• Collaborate with Customer Support Representatives and internal teams to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.

• Implement software updates, machine improvements, and technical modifications.

• Accurately and promptly complete electronic job cards, service reports, timesheets, and related documentation.

• Manage and order parts per company protocols.

• Participate in call-out and breakdown support schedules when necessary.

• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the territory.

• Engage in technical training and development opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A recognized engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) in Plant, Agricultural, Construction Equipment, or HGV Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in servicing and repairing heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or similar mobile equipment.

• Excellent diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.

• Strong communication abilities to convey technical information clearly to customers and colleagues.

• Valid full UK driving licence.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.

• Proficient IT skills and experience in completing electronic service documentation.

• Willingness to travel extensively across a broad geographical area and occasionally assist other UK regions.

• Previous experience with road construction equipment, compaction machinery, or paving equipment is desirable.

• Familiarity with Dynapac products is a plus.

• Prior field service experience is advantageous.

• Manufacturer training certifications are desirable.

• Experience with machine software and telematics systems is preferable.
