
Field Service Engineer – Laboratory Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Install, commission, maintain, and repair Labman automation systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Provide both remote and onsite technical support.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system validation activities.
• Deliver customer training following installation and service visits.
• Investigate technical issues and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Labman UK engineering teams to address complex problems.
• Maintain precise service records and offer field feedback to enhance system reliability.
• Establish strong, professional relationships with customers.
• Strong practical skills in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, or mechatronics fields.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in assembling, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Confidence in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and measurement instruments.
• Strong communication and customer service capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.
• Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the US.
• Valid US driver's license and eligibility for international travel.
• A PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is encouraged.
• Experience with laboratory automation, robotics, scientific instrumentation, or industrial automation is a plus but not required.
