This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Act as the main technical representative for Medtronic EP Technologies Affera customers, as well as sales and clinical teams.
• Conduct technical assessments, installations, support, servicing, maintenance, and de-installation of Affera systems at client locations.
• Offer technical support to physicians or technologists during clinical procedures.
• Liaise field feedback with Marketing, Quality, Production, and Engineering departments.
• Execute installations, inspections, verification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and submit technical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Relay field information to office staff and keep the database updated.
• Enhance service processes and create as well as maintain service documentation and procedures.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing regarding product enhancements.
• Engage in technical training for distributors, partners, agents, customer representatives, physicians, EP technicians, and department managers.
• Assist in the rollout of new products and take part in discussions for design improvements.
• Investigate, analyze, and identify trends in technical data concerning Affera products.
• Participate in special projects as requested by the US Field Service Manager or their designee.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in technical, clinical field service, technical internships, or clinical customer support.
• Capability to apply principles of electrical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and biomedical engineering to troubleshooting tasks.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting medical equipment.
• Outstanding English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel frequently, potentially including international destinations.
• Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to function without direct supervision.
• Experience in direct, face-to-face customer engagement and interaction.
• Aptitude for collaborating closely with customers, addressing their concerns, and devising strategies to enhance confidence and satisfaction with Affera products and services.
• A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field is preferred.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a qualification that meets 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; roles below Principal level do not offer sponsorship.
