This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Execute customer installations, repairs, upgrades, updates, and preventative/planned maintenance on instruments within the designated territory.
• Deliver onsite installation and service at customer locations.
• Engage professionally with customers, troubleshoot technical issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Meet established revenue and customer satisfaction objectives.
• Propose and finalize sales of service contracts and additional service offerings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer concerns and optimize processes.
• Complete submissions for Remote Service Dispatch, Escalation, Field Problem Report, and Field Service Report.
• Oversee spare parts ordering, utilization, returns, physical inventory, and vehicle stock.
• Implement qualification and validation procedures at customer facilities.
• Sustain technical proficiency through training, team meetings, and staying informed about products, markets, customers, and competitors.
• Manage travel expenses and adhere to company travel guidelines.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related scientific, biomedical engineering, and/or customer-facing position is required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• A comprehensive background check, including a drug screening, is mandatory.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is essential.
• Must be capable of safely handling chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules, including potential weekend travel, is necessary.
• Experience in a clinical, diagnostic, and/or regulated setting (CAP, CLIA, ISO, GMP) is preferred.
• A strong aptitude for learning and understanding IT systems and processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with DNA Sequencing, NGS, Real-Time PCR, Cellular Imaging, and/or molecular techniques is preferred.
• Experience with automation and robotic systems is preferred.
• Ability to travel frequently to customer sites, which may account for 25–75% of work time.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods while executing responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively in both home office and laboratory settings.
