This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute the installation, upgrades, updates, repairs, and preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments at customer facilities.
• Engage with customers in a professional manner to address technical challenges and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and Field colleagues to address customer concerns and enhance processes.
• Complete documentation for service tickets, escalations, Field Problem Reports, and Field Service Reports.
• Oversee the ordering, usage, returns, physical counts, and trunk-stock inventory of spare parts.
• Maintain technical expertise through training sessions, staff meetings, and updates on products, markets, customers, and competitors.
• Discuss and promote service contracts and other service offerings to customers.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
• A valid driver's license and passport.
• Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid Canadian work permit.
• Proficiency in English.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Sound judgment in prioritizing work tasks.
• Effective collaboration skills with Field colleagues.
• Positive adaptability to change and constructive feedback.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and beyond.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Capacity to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Moderately frequent overnight travel required.
• Preferred: 3+ years of pertinent experience in science, engineering, and/or customer service.
• Preferred: a master’s degree in a related field.
• Preferred: experience in a clinical, diagnostics, or regulated laboratory setting.
• Preferred: aptitude for learning IT systems and processes.
• Preferred: residence within approximately 50 km of downtown Vancouver.
