Field Service Engineer – HS2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Volvo construction equipment and various machinery at HS2 project locations.

• Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, offering updates on machine status, repair progress, and recommended actions.

• Accurately complete job documentation, inspection reports, timesheets, and electronic records in real-time.

• Uphold safety standards, professionalism, housekeeping, and adherence to company and site protocols.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance machine performance and maximize equipment availability.

• Operate autonomously while engaging directly with customers throughout the southern segment of the HS2 project.

⛳️ Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, HGV Maintenance, or a similar engineering field.

• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing heavy construction machinery.

• In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains, electrical systems, and diagnostic processes.

• Proficient fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to operate independently in a field setting.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Valid UK driving license.

• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and meet customer demands as necessary.

• Candidates must possess experience in maintaining and repairing construction plant equipment.
