Field Service Engineer – Germany

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Deliver diagnostic and technical assistance during the servicing of High-Power Charging Stations.

• Travel to HPC locations within a designated region as required to execute maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

• Offer technical support to reduce system downtime.

• Conduct onsite root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance activities.

• Order and manage spare parts for HPC stations.

• Troubleshoot systems and execute remote diagnostics on field failures by analyzing logged data.

• Assist in the development of processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge for standard service procedures.

• Identify trends and patterns in field failures and provide feedback to the central team to promote improvements.

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to guarantee thorough investigation of new issues and implementation of countermeasures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional, certified electrician with expertise in low voltage systems (up to 1000VAC/1500VDC).

• Additional certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety are highly desirable.

• High Voltage Certification is an advantage.

• Approximately 2-3 years of professional experience as a Field Service Technician, ideally with similar technical equipment.

• Technical degree in Electrics or a related field.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

• Skilled in utilizing basic electrical measuring devices, such as multimeters, isolation testers, and RCD test devices.

• Familiarity with common workplace and database software, particularly MS Office.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and German; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.

• Proven capability to effectively work and communicate with external service providers.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges concurrently.

• Availability for off-hours calls and work.

• Willingness to travel, occasionally on short notice, with the possibility of extended trips.

• Exhibits a get-it-done mentality in all situations.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
