Field Service Engineer – Diagnostic Imaging, Vascular, Surgery X-Ray, Mammography

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Carry out the installation, maintenance, and repair of all X-ray systems throughout the Midlands, with the ability to assist with broader UK needs.

• Identify and rectify complex system-level faults across various technology platforms.

• Foster strong relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment uptime and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Offer remote diagnostics and support from a home office, connecting to systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues whenever feasible.

• Collaborate with engineering teams, service centers, and commercial departments to provide outstanding service.

• Efficiently manage tools, spare parts, and travel logistics.

• Accurately complete all necessary documentation within specified deadlines.

• Travel approximately 35–40% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.

• Participate in international training courses as required.

• Be available for overtime, short-notice callouts, and mandatory weekend shifts (one in every four weekends).

⛳️ Requirements

• HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience in field service; medical imaging experience is a plus but not mandatory.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently.

• Familiarity with remote connectivity tools and diagnostics.

• Strong IT skills, including knowledge of software installation, virtual machines, and troubleshooting.

• Valid UK driving licence.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with additional medical imaging modalities is preferred.

• Understanding of DICOM and IT/network troubleshooting is advantageous.

• Knowledge of CRM systems is desirable.

• Experience in project management is a plus.
