Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Diagnose system problems using electrical testing and Vix software monitoring tools.

• Quickly and efficiently resolve hardware issues on vehicles and on-street equipment.

• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding maintenance and issue resolution.

• Drive enhancements in KPI performance.

• Install and commission systems on vehicles and on-street.

• Ensure thorough documentation of maintenance activities.

• Collaborate with local teams and Configuration Engineers.

• Follow planned maintenance schedules diligently.

• Participate in regular meetings with Vix staff.

• Promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.

• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant qualification in electrical engineering or vehicle maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3).

• Ability to work independently while upholding high standards.

• Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.

• Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on professionalism.

• Proven experience as a field engineer, showcasing skills in electrical and electronic diagnostics.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong relationship-building skills with customers.

• Level 4 Diploma in Vehicle Diagnostics (desirable).

• Experience with Real Time Information systems (desirable).

• Familiarity with GPRS communications (desirable).

• Proficient in IT systems with a basic understanding of networking (desirable).

• Experience in a similar field environment (desirable).

• Understanding of Quality Systems and procedures (desirable).

• Solid electrical troubleshooting knowledge (desirable).

• Awareness of best engineering practices (desirable).

• Accreditation in Emergency First Aid at Work and any HERS Found level (desirable).

• NVQ Level 2 (desirable).
