This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take the lead in implementing UVeye’s automated vehicle inspection systems on-site.
• Supervise third-party contractors to ensure projects adhere to engineering specifications, deadlines, safety protocols, and quality criteria.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and validate systems, encompassing electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil elements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration challenges in the field.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency service tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, identify risks, and uphold safe working practices.
• Analyze site layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD or similar applications.
• Detect and report discrepancies between projected and actual site conditions.
• Act as the main technical liaison during field operations.
• Engage with customers to manage expectations and provide a professional customer experience.
• Keep precise installation and service records.
• Refer complex technical matters to Engineering, R&D, and Operations.
• Offer field insights to foster continuous improvement.
• Administer time and expenses according to company policies.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician handling hardware/software installations and deployments.
• Proven experience in leading contractors or teams during technical installations.
• Strong practical knowledge of civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and fundamental networking concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk, or similar platforms.
• Capability to produce clear installation, service, and maintenance documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead on-site discussions and provide technical guidance.
• Customer-centric attitude combined with strong problem-solving abilities, resilience, and adaptability to changing field conditions.
• Strong dedication to safety and the capacity to enforce safety regulations on-site.
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 100% throughout the United States and Canada (for US FSEs).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work on active job sites for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, climb, and manually handle tools or components.
• Capability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Technical certification or trade school training is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems is preferred.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
