Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver onsite service and telephone assistance for Tosoh instrumentation and related peripheral components at customer sites within a specified geographical region.

• Ensure high-quality service delivery while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

• Install, diagnose, repair, and schedule maintenance for Tosoh instruments.

• Fulfill all administrative duties promptly and accurately as mandated by company policy or as instructed by management.

• Oversee the organization, management, and control of trunk stock parts inventory.

• Collaborate with Instrument Service Center (ISC) staff in the remanufacturing of Tosoh instruments.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by service management.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of field service support experience with medical equipment or equivalent background.

• An associate degree in electronics, military technical training, or a similar educational background.

• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Proficient in Windows 7/8/10 operating systems and Microsoft Office; capability to learn and master other software programs as needed.

• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, fluidic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

• Experience with a digital multimeter, basic electronic soldering skills, and other general electronic technician competencies.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain all documentation with the highest levels of accuracy using sound documentation practices.

• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities to comprehend, address, and resolve instrument issues and meet the needs of Tosoh Bioscience customers.

• Willingness to travel overnight and by air as required for business, up to 65% of the time.

• Capable of defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
