Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at client locations.

• Identify and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues to minimize downtime.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as upgrades and retrofits.

• Assist customers with training and best practices for the daily operation of machines.

• Record service activities and provide clear feedback to internal teams for ongoing improvement.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in service, engineering, and sales to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

• Report directly to the Field Service Team Leader.

• Uphold a “Safety first” mentality in daily operations at both company and customer sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Secondary education diploma in a mechanical field, preferably with a subject-specific qualification, or relevant practical experience in a mechanical field service position.

• Mandatory qualifications include EFK (Elektrofachkraft) and AuS (Arbeiten unter Spannung).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls is advantageous.

• Proficient in both English and German.

• A valid driver's license with a good driving history.

• Willingness to travel primarily within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with occasional trips to other European countries; travel will be scheduled in advance.

• Comfortable working in industrial settings and at customer sites.

• Self-sufficient, proactive, and solution-oriented.

• Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
