Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at client locations.

• Diagnose and address mechanical and electromechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as upgrades and retrofits.

• Provide training and best practice guidance to customers for daily machine operations.

• Document service activities and offer clear feedback to internal teams for ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with colleagues from service, engineering, and sales to enhance the customer experience.

• Report directly to the Field Service Team Leader.

• Uphold a "Safety first" mentality during daily operations at both company and client sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• A mechanical education (a secondary education diploma is required, preferably with a subject-specific diploma) or substantial practical experience in a mechanical field service position.

• An EFK (Elektrofachkraft) qualification along with AuS (Arbeiten unter Spannung) certification is essential.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.

• A basic understanding of electrical systems and controls is preferred.

• Proficiency in both English and German; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel primarily within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with occasional trips to other European countries; travel will be scheduled in advance.

• Comfortable working in industrial settings and at customer sites.

• Independent, proactive, and solution-focused.

• Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
