Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, and maintain TOMRA sorting machines at client locations.

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electromechanical issues to ensure minimal operational downtime.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as upgrades and retrofits.

• Assist customers with training and best practices for daily machine operations.

• Document service activities and provide clear feedback to internal teams for ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with team members across service, engineering, and sales to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

• Report to the Field Service Team Leader.

• Uphold a “Safety first” approach in all daily tasks at both company and customer sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Mechanical education (secondary education diploma required, preferably with a subject-specific diploma) or demonstrated practical experience in a mechanical field service role.

• An EFK (Elektrofachkraft) along with AuS (Arbeiten unter Spannung) qualification is essential.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.

• Practical experience with mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating equipment).

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls is preferred.

• Proficient in English and German; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Willingness to travel primarily within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, along with occasional trips to other European countries; travel to be scheduled in advance.

• Comfortable working in industrial settings and at customer locations.

• Self-reliant, proactive, and solution-oriented.

• Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
