This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Deliver onsite services that include repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installation of IDD analyzers.
• Travel on short notice to client locations to address reported issues or assist other field service staff.
• Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and internal protocols for field service reports and job-related submissions concerning spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical counts, etc.
• Exhibit professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical expertise during all customer interactions.
• Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer challenges and enhance processes.
• Offer remote and onsite service training or support to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or advanced operators.
• Enhance technical proficiency in servicing instruments through participation in in-person or online training courses.
• Manage travel expenses in compliance with Thermo Fisher Scientific travel policies and guidelines.
• Hold an associate degree in a Technical or Engineering field such as Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, or a similar discipline, or possess an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Have experience in related life sciences, biomedical engineering, and/or technical customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrate experience in operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex analyzers or systems.
• Preferably have experience in a clinical, diagnostic, and/or other regulated environments (CAP, CLIA, FDA).
• Exhibit strong competency in Windows and other software, network knowledge, electrical/electronics, mechanics, and chemistry technology; possess analytical thinking skills and good engineering aptitude.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a valid REAL ID driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle report.
• Be prepared for overtime and last-minute schedule changes to ensure customer satisfaction.
