This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Provide expert installation, upkeep, and repair services for advanced analytical and microscopy equipment.
• Offer exceptional technical support while fostering strong relationships with clients at research institutions, universities, and industrial settings.
• Address intricate issues, perform preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure peak system performance.
• Contribute to essential scientific research and innovation within the organization.
• Advanced degree with 3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analytical instruments.
• Preferred fields of study include Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven expertise with ultra-high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software issues.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to cultivate positive customer relationships.
• Capability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business software.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel 25-50%.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work within laboratory environments.
• Experience in mentoring and training others is preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Continuous technical training and certifications are required.
