This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Volvo Construction Equipment and related machinery.
• Utilize technical expertise and diagnostic tools to identify and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Recognize additional service and repair possibilities, discussing them with customers and internal teams.
• Execute tasks in accordance with estimates and timeframes, indicating where extra work may be necessary.
• Implement software updates and system improvements.
• Accurately complete electronic job cards, reports, and timesheets in real time.
• Order and manage repair components, ensuring prompt return of parts upon job completion.
• Be available for call-out and overtime requirements.
• Participate in product and systems training.
• Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company and manufacturer standards.
• Provide support to customers in Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dunfermline, and surrounding regions.
• Possess a formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, HGV Mechanics, or a related field (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in repairing and maintaining heavy construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGVs, or similar equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities in diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.
• Good communication abilities and capacity to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient IT skills and confidence in utilizing digital reporting systems.
• A commercially aware mindset with a focus on exceptional customer service.
• High attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
• Valid full UK driving licence.
• Welding and fabrication experience is desirable.
• Previous experience with Volvo Construction Equipment or similar heavy plant machinery is advantageous.
