Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute field service tasks as directed by Customer Care in collaboration with the Service / Team Leader.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of the current and future Life Science / Diagnostics instrument portfolio.

• Deliver first-line, onsite user training on Life Science / Diagnostics Systems.

• Organize and conduct routine maintenance assigned on a monthly schedule.

• Ensure that all documentation, Service Data Bulletins, and manuals are up to date for servicing specific instrument types.

• Adopt personal working practices that meet or surpass customer expectations.

• Foster an ethos of working practices that enhance personal and team KPIs.

• Manage personal service spare parts and inventory records to the highest standard.

• Report and resolve all anomalies promptly and effectively.

• Confirm that all tools and test equipment are sufficient for required services and that all issued test equipment is calibrated as specified.

• Complete all Work Orders and associated documentation within one day of completion.

• Ensure timely submission of all E-Learning, Expense Claims, and Vehicle-related forms.

• Carry out specific and agreed-upon tasks as defined by the Goal statements that are embedded in the Company Culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant education or equivalent experience in a scientific or engineering discipline is preferred, though not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

• Experience in a Customer Service Environment, ideally with Life Science / Diagnostic instrument applications.

• Ability to communicate professionally with customers at all levels, offering service information, technical data, and general assistance as required.

• Strong commitment to customer service.

• Willingness to travel (averaging 2 – 3 nights away per week).

• Valid UK/EU driving license.
