Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver services to clients in the electronics, automotive, aviation, and aerospace sectors at their facilities.

• Commission, service, and repair Hottinger Brüel & Kjær VTS equipment in accordance with company protocols.

• Coordinate customer visits based on the established schedule.

• Draft onsite action summaries for clients and maintain CRM documentation.

• Offer post-sales support to customers.

• Troubleshoot issues arising from a lack of familiarity with equipment and systems.

• Travel to client locations for most of the scheduled workdays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States.

• Must not currently require or in the future will require employment visa sponsorship.

• Ability to comprehend or willingness to learn mechanical and electronic engineering principles.

• Ability to understand or willingness to learn hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Competence in evaluating and troubleshooting precision equipment.

• Capability to diagnose issues and conduct necessary repairs.

• Proficiency in dismantling and reassembling high-precision equipment efficiently.

• Willingness to travel to client sites with a 48-hour notice.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Clean driving record is required.

• Business-level proficiency or higher in English.

• Adaptability, flexibility, responsiveness, and autonomy are essential qualities.

• Eagerness to learn new systems, skills, and techniques.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent communication skills are necessary.

• Willingness to travel for the majority of scheduled workdays.
