This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance, FMIs, and/or ISIs in a timely and precise manner.
• Support seasoned field engineers with the installation of equipment.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and service repairs on assigned equipment.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and clients.
• Ensure resolution of customer issues and follow-up appropriately.
• Suggest value-added services that enhance customer operational efficiency.
• Maintain logs of customer service interactions and internal service documentation.
• Order necessary repair parts and manage their cycle times effectively.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and execute corrective action plans.
• Act as a member of the account community for significant accounts.
• Interact with commercial counterparts to identify potential sales opportunities.
• Participate in contract renewals and revenue-generating programs.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
• Independently handle service calls within one year of employment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education.
• Completion of the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program is accepted as an alternative qualification.
• High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.
• Proficient with web applications and the Microsoft suite of products.
• Successful completion of GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Compliance with customer access policies, which may include required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks as necessary.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• No employment visa sponsorship is available.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend the neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.
• Required vision abilities include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Willingness to work after hours or on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends when necessary.
