This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Conduct timely and precise preventative maintenance, Field Modification Instructions, and Instrument Service Information tasks.
• Support seasoned field engineers during the installation of equipment.
• Acquire knowledge and execute basic troubleshooting and service repairs on assigned equipment.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers to address issues and ensure proper follow-up.
• Suggest value-added services aimed at enhancing customer business efficiency.
• Keep meticulous customer service logs and internal service records.
• Order necessary repair parts and oversee cycle times.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and implement corrective action plans with regional and national support teams.
• Act as a member of the account community for key accounts.
• Identify potential sales opportunities and engage in contract renewals and revenue initiatives.
• Cultivate customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
• Independently respond to service calls within one year of employment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent military education.
• Participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program may qualify for consideration.
• High School Diploma/GED combined with 4 or more years of experience in servicing electronic equipment as an alternative qualification.
• Proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Suite products.
• Possession of a valid driver's license, to be maintained throughout employment.
• Willingness to work after hours or participate in rotating on-call schedules, including weekends, as required.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Competence in reaching at, above, and below shoulder level, and flexing/extending the neck.
• Good hand and finger dexterity.
• Required color vision, and the ability to see close, at a distance, and in peripheral vision, along with depth perception.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
