Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment.

• Offer outstanding and efficient service to Beckman Coulter clients.

• Conduct technical training sessions on products.

• Maintain precise customer service logs and internal service documentation.

• Order repair components and adhere to designated cycle times.

• Utilize OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for planning service calls and achieving team objectives.

• Engage with both internal and external customers to address their specific requirements.

• Support the training of newer Field Service Engineers.

• Enhance throughput, minimize downtime, perform preventive maintenance, and execute upgrades.

• Advocate for customers while representing the company's interests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical, biomedical engineering, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.

• Must live within the service area or be willing to relocate to Richmond, Virginia Beach, or Washington, DC.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, which includes driving and occasional flying, with overnight stays.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for prolonged periods.

• Proficiency in reaching above and below shoulder level, flexing and extending the neck, and demonstrating good hand and finger dexterity.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in biomedicine, engineering, or a related field.

• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventive maintenance, modifications, and/or service repair.

• Preferred: Experience in cultivating positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
