Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Ensure the optimal functioning of Beckman Coulter equipment.

• Service various platforms including Automation, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Clinical IT, Microbiology, and/or Hematology.

• Independently diagnose issues, install, conduct preventative maintenance, and repair Beckman Coulter equipment.

• Deliver outstanding and efficient service to customers.

• Provide technical training on products.

• Maintain precise customer service logs and internal service documentation.

• Order repair components while adhering to cycle times.

• Utilize OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for planning service calls and advancing team objectives.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to comprehend and fulfill their needs.

• Assist in training new Field Service Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with over 3 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation, OR an Associate’s Degree/Military experience with more than 1 year of experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, laboratory, mechanical, electrical, or related fields.

• Willingness to travel 65%-75%, which may include driving and occasional flying, potentially requiring overnight stays.

• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Experience in advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and/or service repair is advantageous.

• Proven ability to foster positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a plus.
