This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accuray EIMEA is looking for a Field Service Engineer, based from home in the Bengaluru region (India).

• This role entails front-line responsibilities for installations, as well as remote and on-site diagnostics prior to repair services, in addition to periodic maintenance visits on Accuray systems.

• The ideal candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues relating to highly sophisticated software, electronic, and mechanical robotic devices at clinical sites and major hospitals.

• Applicants should possess the capability to work independently and exhibit effective communication skills.

• The candidate must be willing to travel extensively (up to 50% of travel time) on short notice and be prepared to provide after-hours support due to the urgent nature of service work.

• Establish customer relationships by effectively utilizing technical knowledge to install, service, and maintain Accuray products.

• Support is provided remotely from the home office and through regular on-site visits to hospitals.

• Address a wide range of hardware and/or software issues of varying scope and complexity.

• Manage one’s own schedule and work priorities to ensure that urgent customer needs are met promptly, thereby promoting the highest level of customer satisfaction through timely responses, effective communication, professional appearance, and efficient repair/maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate and clear documentation of completed work activities in the Service software program, ensuring detailed audit records of the product service history are provided.

• Take appropriate care of parts inventory and ensure the prompt return of replaced parts to stock.

• Complete Timesheets and Expense reports in the designated software program in a timely manner.

• Assist in developing service documentation alongside the Customer Service team.

• Provide training to on-site customer personnel regarding maintenance and service activities.

• Aid in the identification and development of Field Support tools and testing equipment.

• Participate in required product and quality training both locally and/or internationally.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience is required.

• Ideally, candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Field Service, including installation and troubleshooting of complex electronic equipment, preferably within the medical care industry.

• Strong hardware and software computer skills, including knowledge of networking, are essential.

• Ability to quickly learn and use new software tools.

• Competence in prioritizing multiple tasks and discerning urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional customer relations skills and a strong service-oriented mindset are necessary.

• Must be a self-starter capable of working independently, successfully scheduling, organizing, and executing field service activities within the assigned territory.

• Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in challenging and stressful situations.

• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in both the local language and English is required.

• Must be comfortable with extensive travel (up to 50% of travel time), occasionally on short notice, and be prepared for after-hours support requirements.

• Candidates must provide proof of authorization to work permanently in the country of application without sponsorship.
