This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• A practical, field-based position responsible for repairing our parcel lockers at client locations, which includes break-fix tasks, maintenance, software configuration, quality control, and offering technical support and training to employees and subcontractors.
• Identifying and rectifying faults and malfunctions of parcel locker machines (APMs) on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational performance.
• Overseeing the maintenance and modernization of parcel locker machines, which involves implementing hardware and software upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Conducting diagnostics, reconfiguration, and installation of computer software or firmware for computer, electronic, and electromechanical systems, ensuring compatibility and compliance with security standards.
• Managing the processing and reporting of assigned repairs using the communication channels established within the organization.
• Overseeing tools and components associated with parcel locker machines.
• Ensuring quality control of the work done by internal staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical standards, contractual obligations, and company policies.
• Providing both technical and substantive support to employees and subcontractors (including those based internationally) through communication and IT channels used within the company.
• Engaging in the creation of solutions for new types of parcel locker machines.
• Preparing and updating technical manuals and documentation.
• Relevant experience in a field service technical engineering role focused on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and diagnostic instruments (such as multi-meters).
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing equipment, coupled with experience in software configuration and firmware updates.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities for resolving intricate technical issues.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct technical training.
• Competence in efficiently managing tasks, ensuring quality, and meeting deadlines across various markets.
• High attention to detail in quality control and document updates.
• Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including international subcontractors and internal personnel.
• Willingness to travel for service and training activities both within the UK and occasionally internationally.
• Familiarity with parcel locker systems or similar electromechanical devices, as well as organizational IT tools.
• Proficient time management skills and the ability to responsibly handle tools and components.
