Field Service Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Conduct and provide physical audits and outcomes for NextGear Capital’s Risk organization.

• Support client-facing Operations team members in managing dealer account portfolios.

• Perform physical and financial audits to evaluate client business health and risk.

• Build relationships with dealers to achieve thorough risk assessments.

• Visit various dealer locations, auctions, repair shops, and other sites.

• Investigate, observe, and document dealership processes and practices.

• Inspect collateral through lot and title audits.

• Assess dealers’ equity and business health for underwriting purposes.

• Verify inventory in market share conversions exceeding $500,000 to minimize risk and expand the portfolio.

• Present findings to dealers and outline next steps, which may include re-educating dealers, reviewing inventory trends, collecting payments, and obtaining documentation.

• Assist Recovery with repossessions by gathering keys, securing collateral, arranging transportation to auction, and monitoring daily funding receivables.

• Deliver audit results in written, visual, and verbal formats to Operations, Risk, and Senior Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in the auto industry or a related field.

• 4 years of experience in a related field may be accepted in place of a degree.

• 1-2 years of audit/inspection experience preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Must be able and willing to travel regionally on short notice 75% of the time.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Experience in audit/inspection is required.

• Must reside within the assigned territory of Birmingham, Alabama.

• Must be able to travel 100% throughout Alabama.

• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship available now or in the future.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Ability to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Capacity to remain calm and professional in potentially challenging or aggressive field work environments.
