This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +12 more states.
• Enhance the capabilities of the field force by providing field coaching, reinforcing training, and facilitating the implementation of commercial initiatives at the Zone level.
• Collaborate with the Zone Director, Regional Business Managers, Marketing, and Commercial Training to pinpoint performance improvement areas and bolster effective selling practices.
• Organize field rides and coaching sessions with sales representatives.
• Observe interactions with customers and deliver timely, actionable coaching.
• Recognize individual and team growth opportunities related to selling skills, clinical knowledge, account management, business ownership, and customer engagement.
• Aid in the execution of brand strategy, field strategy, national commercial initiatives, marketing campaigns, training programs, launch initiatives, and key business objectives.
• Convert national training and marketing guidelines into actionable field applications.
• Identify obstacles to execution and propose solutions.
• Offer insights and feedback to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Detect gaps in messaging, sales resources, field strategy, training materials, and field team readiness.
• Share observations regarding customer engagement, competitive dynamics, market access factors, and challenges in field execution.
• Suggest improvements to training, tools, messaging reinforcement, and coaching strategies.
• Work alongside Regional Business Managers, Commercial Training, and Marketing.
• Assist in meetings, workshops, POAs, launch meetings, and other training or commercial events as required.
• Ensure that coaching, training reinforcement, and field activities adhere to company policies as well as legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Keep precise records of field coaching activities, insights, and development themes.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• More than 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty sales.
• Proven success in field sales, executing product launches, or navigating competitive market environments.
• A solid understanding of sales execution, territory management, account planning, and customer engagement.
• Proven ability to coach, influence, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Capability to synthesize insights from the field and convey actionable feedback to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned Zone.
• Previous experience in field sales training, sales leadership, mentoring, or coaching roles is preferred.
• Experience in rare diseases, specialty pharmaceuticals, hepatology, gastroenterology, or related therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Background in supporting first-in-class launches or competing in highly competitive markets is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Commercial Training is preferred.
• Strong clinical aptitude and the ability to translate complex information into straightforward field applications is preferred.
