• Deliver scientific information and promote relevant AbbVie products to office-based and hospital specialists, ensuring compliance with Section 76 of the German Medicines Act (AMG).
• Execute the brand strategy effectively.
• Analyze the market using available data; assess the regional market regarding our product's sales development and that of competitors; identify opportunities and critical trends.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement a territory plan in collaboration with the in-field team.
• Manage customer relationships professionally by providing active advice to physicians, pharmacists, and, when applicable, healthcare organizations.
• Plan, organize, and conduct training and continuing education events, while also participating in regional and national events.
• Establish and nurture networks among hospitals, office-based physicians, and other key stakeholders involved in patient care.
• Collect market information and customer insights; identify the customer’s stage in the sales cycle.
• Maintain proactive communication with the regional manager.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all administrative responsibilities through professional reporting.
• Collaborate effectively within the in-field team and beyond.
• Encourage open communication and a continuous exchange of experiences and ideas.
• Advocate proactively and consistently for customer needs.
• Share responsibility for meeting regional targets.
• Adhere to all relevant functional requirements and legal and regulatory obligations, including ethics and compliance procedures and policies, along with the "Principles for Business Conduct (Code of Business Conduct)."
• University degree in a scientific field.
• Training as a pharmaceutical sales representative or requisite expertise according to §75 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz).
• Basic understanding of GxP.
• Experience working within an in-field team and leading interdisciplinary projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong knowledge of the therapeutic area.
• Several years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with demonstrably above-average sales success within the therapeutic area.
• Capability to present complex scientific concepts tailored to various target audiences and engage in discussions with different customer groups.
• Excellent persuasive abilities, with a presentation- and closing-oriented mindset, along with outstanding communication skills (Challenger methodology).
• High adaptability to changing market conditions, with a proactive approach to innovating and aligning working methods accordingly.
• Strong motivation and energy to pursue and achieve goals.
• Excellent performance management skills to optimize sales target achievement continuously.
• Advanced digital competencies and proficient use of field force systems (Veeva CRM and CLM, XPM, WebEx, etc.) as well as MS Office.
• Strong analytical skills combined with creativity.
