• Proactive engagement with potential new customers, focusing on our Ideal Customer Profile.
• Development of existing customer relationships and leveraging cross-selling opportunities related to our Sea & Air Services (Import & Export).
• Independent planning and execution of customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Monitoring market conditions, competition, and relevant trends to derive effective sales initiatives.
• Close collaboration with our product and pricing teams on rate inquiries, proposals, and tenders.
• Support throughout the RFQ process from A to Z, including preparation, follow-up, and alignment with operations.
• Systematic tracking of proposals and analysis of post-mortems for ongoing improvement.
• Clear communication between Sales, Product, and Operations in weekly BDM meetings.
• Several years of experience in field sales or business development, preferably in sea and air freight logistics.
• Understanding of the needs of mid-sized clients and how to engage and retain them long-term.
• Familiarity with pricing, tender management, and structured sales processes as part of your skill set.
• Ability to build, maintain, and develop strong customer relationships with a strategic vision and operational drive.
• Pipeline and funnel management are second nature to you—data-driven, focused, and with clear goal tracking.
• Ideally, you know the southwestern region of Germany like the back of your hand—understanding market structures and regional specifics.
• Proficient communication in German and fluent in English—Spanish is a bonus.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with TMS systems is an advantage.
• A team player with a sense of responsibility, strong communication skills, and a hands-on mentality.
• Quick thinker who approaches challenges with a structured work ethic and a clear “Let’s do it” attitude.
