This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Generate substantial annual revenue for the organization.
• Oversee customer accounts while identifying and cultivating new prospects to sell FMC products.
• Concentrate on sales objectives, business development, customer relations, and resolving client issues.
• Create and implement account plans, negotiating to achieve sales goals while considering margins and revenue.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with customers.
• Prepare sales presentations, call strategies, proposals, and reports for both internal and external communication.
• Gather and relay market information regarding sales volumes.
• Anticipate customer business plans and needs.
• Collect and share insights on competitive practices and assist in evaluating competitive data.
• Identify and nurture new business opportunities to enhance sales with existing accounts or to acquire new ones.
• Coordinate interactions between customers and company resources, including technical and supply chain teams, to deliver value-added services.
• Recognize opportunities and devise and execute suitable actions.
• Mentor and lead sales representatives in adjacent territories.
• Operate within a customer segmentation model, taking into account account financials.
• Collaborate with fellow sales professionals and corporate commercial associates.
• Report to and collaborate with the Regional Business Manager to meet regional and expense targets.
• Offer FMC product recommendations to clients and business stakeholders.
• Expand FMC’s presence in Eastern North Carolina and align distributor and retail account activities with territory and regional initiatives.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agriculture or a related Life Science, along with 10+ years of relevant sales experience, or a High School Diploma with 13+ years of applicable sales experience.
• 10+ years of sales experience.
• Proficient in making data-driven decisions utilizing CRM systems.
• Strong foundation in value selling and agronomics.
• Experience in facilitating and executing complex projects.
• Strong financial acumen and business insight.
• Proven experience in driving new and existing business opportunities with key accounts, including national accounts, within a sales territory.
• Demonstrated capability to make decisions with minimal supervision and to tackle complex decisions within operational guidelines.
• Experience in leveraging critical accounts to support national accounts.
• Proven ability to exercise independent judgment involving complex decisions, independent thinking, and creativity.
• Demonstrated skill in negotiating with mid to senior management.
• Strong negotiation abilities with external stakeholders.
• Capacity to guide and mentor sales representatives in adjacent territories without a direct reporting line.
• Experience in leading projects or special assignments that involve work outside the area/region.
• A proven history of making an immediate impact on sales within a specific territory.
• Experience in executing projects autonomously.
• Requires 50% travel to fulfill territory responsibilities.
