This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement annual regional business strategies that align with Salomon's commercial goals.
• Discover avenues for expanding distribution, growing market share, and enhancing brand visibility within the specialty performance sector.
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership to devise growth strategies for significant markets, customer segments, and product categories.
• Track account performance and enhance sales, sell-through rates, and profitability.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, competitor actions, and consumer behaviors.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with retail owners, buyers, store managers, and frontline sales staff.
• Act as the principal field representative for Salomon in the designated territory.
• Conduct business reviews with key independent retail partners.
• Propel seasonal initiatives and in-store programs aimed at boosting consumer engagement and product sell-through.
• Perform store visits to assess merchandising, inventory placement, product presentation, and brand execution.
• Provide insights and action plans to enhance retail performance.
• Lead product knowledge sessions, seasonal sell-in meetings, and training programs for retailers.
• Educate retail personnel on product technologies, innovation narratives, category strategies, and benefits for consumers.
• Assist with product launches, events, demos, races, and grassroots marketing efforts.
• Work with Marketing on localized activation opportunities.
• Support and influence independent sales representatives and agency partners.
• Align field priorities, seasonal initiatives, and sales strategies across designated agencies.
• Evaluate agency performance and effectiveness.
• Collect and share marketplace feedback and competitive insights.
• Offer recommendations concerning assortment opportunities, pricing trends, and retail dynamics.
• Partner with Sales Operations and Sales Leadership on forecasts, account planning, and territory management.
• Contribute valuable insights to annual planning and seasonal go-to-market strategies.
• 5–8+ years of sales or field leadership experience in the sporting goods, outdoor, athletic, or performance footwear/apparel sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of specialty retail and wholesale sales environments.
• Proven track record of building influential relationships and driving account growth.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting product training and retail education.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to analyze sales data and convert insights into actionable plans.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Ability to regularly talk and hear.
• Capacity to sit, stand, and walk frequently.
• Ability to occasionally kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Close vision and color vision required.
