This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement annual regional business plans that align with Salomon’s commercial goals.
• Spot opportunities for expanding distribution, boosting market share, and enhancing brand visibility in the specialty performance sector.
• Formulate growth strategies for critical markets, customer segments, and product categories in collaboration with Sales Leadership.
• Track account performance to enhance sales, sell-through rates, and profitability metrics.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
• Establish and nurture relationships with retail owners, buyers, store managers, and frontline sales associates.
• Act as Salomon’s primary point of contact within the designated territory.
• Facilitate business reviews with significant independent retail partners.
• Propel seasonal initiatives and in-store programs to boost consumer engagement and product sell-through.
• Conduct store visits to review merchandising, inventory positioning, product presentation, and brand execution.
• Provide recommendations and action plans aimed at enhancing retail performance.
• Lead product knowledge sessions, seasonal sell-in meetings, and training programs for retailers.
• Educate retail staff on product technologies, innovation narratives, category strategies, and consumer advantages.
• Assist in product launches, events, demos, races, and grassroots marketing activities.
• Collaborate with Marketing on local activation opportunities.
• Support and influence independent sales representatives and agency partners.
• Synchronize field priorities, seasonal initiatives, and sales strategies across assigned agencies.
• Assess agency performance and effectiveness.
• Collect and convey marketplace feedback and competitive intelligence.
• Offer recommendations regarding assortment opportunities, pricing strategies, and retail trends.
• Partner with Sales Operations and Sales Leadership on forecasts, account planning, and territory management.
• Contribute insights for annual planning and seasonal go-to-market strategies.
• 5–8+ years of sales or field leadership experience in the sporting goods, outdoor, athletic, or performance footwear/apparel sectors.
• Strong comprehension of the specialty retail and wholesale sales landscapes.
• Proven capability to cultivate influential relationships and drive account growth.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting product training and retail education.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze sales data and transform insights into actionable plans.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned region.
• Capacity to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk regularly.
• Ability to occasionally kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds.
