This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Perform investigations both virtually and at the residences of policyholders.

• Evaluate property damage, ascertain liability, assess losses, and negotiate equitable settlements.

• Utilize claims management software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess damage and prepare estimates in a paperless setup.

• Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.

• Notify relevant state and industry agencies about incidents of theft, fraud, or arson.

• Operate independently with responsibilities that directly influence management outcomes.

• Represent the company in a professional manner during public engagements.

• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other involved parties.

• Negotiate settlements with policyholders regarding claims.

• Advocate for safety and adhere to safety and ergonomic standards.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Strong customer service skills, ideally gained in a retail setting.

• Experience in construction or insurance is highly preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in computer applications: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Familiarity with smartphones and related applications.

• Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and bondable status.

• Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record background check.

• Ability and willingness to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times per day.

• Capability to work in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.

• Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training examinations.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and key entering in English.

• Openness to commit to 1–3 catastrophe deployments annually.

• Willingness to travel away from home for catastrophe assignments, typically lasting 2-3 days.
