This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform virtual and in-person investigations at the residences of policyholders.
• Evaluate property damage, establish liability, assess losses, and negotiate equitable settlements.
• Utilize claims management software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to evaluate damage and generate estimates in a paperless environment.
• Analyze and report possible subrogation prospects.
• Notify relevant state and industry agencies regarding theft, fraud, or arson incidents.
• Execute responsibilities independently, significantly influencing management outcomes.
• Represent the company with professionalism in public engagements.
• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other involved parties.
• Negotiate with policyholders to resolve claims effectively.
• Advocate for safety and adhere to the company’s safety and ergonomic standards.
• Travel away from home for approximately 23 days when assigned to the Catastrophe team.
• Commit to 1–3 catastrophe deployments annually.
• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Exceptional customer service experience, ideally in a retail setting.
• Background in construction or insurance is highly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Competency with smartphones and various applications.
• Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be bondable.
• Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
• Residency within the designated Rio Grande Valley and Laredo, Texas area is necessary.
• Capability to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times daily.
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
• Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training examinations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and data entry in English.
