Field Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily field operations across various scopes within the data center (including conveyance, cabling, fiber, racks, etc.).

• Collaborate closely with Construction Managers and General Foremen to organize and schedule daily and weekly tasks.

• Ensure that all field teams—including W2 technicians, union labor, and subcontractors—are sufficiently staffed, guided, and supported.

• Monitor compliance with quality control procedures, installation standards, and customer requirements.

• Manage task schedules, work allocations, material requirements, and manpower distribution to align with overall project objectives.

• Work in partnership with the Project Manager and Project Coordinators to share updates on progress, risks, and strategies for mitigation.

• Perform regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety and accountability.

• Supervise quality assurance checks related to structured cabling, fiber installation, splicing/testing, labeling, and documentation.

• Direct and assess subcontractor performance; escalate issues to leadership as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in telecommunications installation within data centers or critical environments.

• 3+ years of experience in field leadership roles (such as Foreman, General Foreman, Construction Manager, etc.).

• Strong expertise in structured cabling, tray systems, fiber installation, splicing/testing, and rack installation techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, rack elevations, and pathway plans.

• Experience managing union labor (IBEW preferred) and subcontractors.

• In-depth knowledge of safety best practices and quality control procedures.

• Exceptional communication skills with the capability to coordinate among multiple teams.
