This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage practice operations by tailoring program components to suit the needs of designated prescribing physicians.
• Evaluate patient status and assist with their enrollment and payer documentation.
• Identify barriers to securing coverage and communicate findings with the Program Manager.
• Cultivate strong professional relationships with physicians while providing supplementary support.
• Deliver training to physicians and clinics regarding the program and new initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison and relay feedback to the Program Manager.
• Complete relevant reports in accordance with established timelines and standards.
• Greet patients and collect necessary information.
• Offer reimbursement payer guidelines to both patients and physicians.
• Ensure that patient services are organized and monitored for swift access to therapy.
• Coordinate coverage activities among patients, physicians, and insurers.
• Verify the outcomes of reimbursement navigation with patients.
• Assist in selecting pharmacies and coordinating drug delivery.
• Mentor and support colleagues through consistent communication.
• Participate in scheduled meetings with physicians and attend educational events.
• Maintain ongoing communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, or a nursing diploma.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industries or related fields.
• Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) with active registration from the College of Nurses in the province of employment.
• Case management experience is preferred; a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a clinic environment is advantageous.
• Must be available to travel within a designated territory, with some overnight travel potentially required.
• Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance policy, and reliable transportation are necessary for regional travel.
• Experience and knowledge in various therapeutic areas is a plus.
• A background in business administration (pharmaceutical) sales and marketing is beneficial.
• Familiarity with private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes.
• Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals processes, and providing field-based reimbursement support and consultation.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Fluency in French and/or English may be required depending on the program and geographic location.
