Field Engineer – Vision Surgical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Install new equipment and deliver operational training to clients.

• Conduct inspections to detect defects in both laboratory and field environments.

• Repair equipment in lab and field as per the weekly service schedule.

• Execute functional tests following repairs to ensure service quality.

• Respond to client inquiries and furnish information regarding repairs and estimates.

• Analyze service data to plan proactive and reactive service visits.

• Participate in conferences, including assembling and disassembling equipment and demonstrating to potential clients.

• Prepare technical documentation and service visit reports.

• Offer technical consulting on equipment configuration and usage.

• Generate reports on required parts and component inventory.

• Stay current through online training opportunities.

• Manage parts inventory and maintain calibrated test equipment and other company assets.

• Address operational and technical inquiries from both internal and external clients.

• Create service records detailing the services performed and procedures utilized.

• Report to the Senior Equipment Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in an engineering discipline.

• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience with medical equipment.

• Active CREA registration.

• Experience in ophthalmology is advantageous.

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, including conversational abilities.

• Valid Category B driver's license.

• At least 3 years of driving experience, preferably on highways or major roads with standard vehicles.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.

• Ability to adapt to flexible working hours.

• Capability to lift or move loads and to stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods.

• Proficient in using hand tools and electronic test equipment.

• Authorization to operate a company vehicle.
