This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Field Engineers are designated to a particular geographic region to assist NoaNet clients.

• Emphasis on engineering and operational responsibilities, which encompass: designing, building, testing, deploying, provisioning, and troubleshooting the NoaNet production network.

• Available for on-call support around the clock, every day of the year.

• Member of an on-call team that alternates NOC escalation duties.

• Daily travel to customer job sites is required.

• Engaging in planning and coordination with customers.

• Responsible for the installation, testing, and verification of network equipment.

• Prepare technical documentation for systems and telecommunication solutions/requisitions.

• Conduct the technical assessment necessary to resolve specific concerns.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of progressive responsibility and experience in a telecommunications central office or operations environment.

• High School diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.

• An Associate’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field is required; alternatively, a combination of relevant education and/or work experience that is adequate to perform the duties may be accepted in lieu of the degree on a year-for-year basis.

• Industry-specific certifications are highly regarded and can enhance educational qualifications.

• Strong knowledge of MPLS networking, Ethernet switching, and IP routing.

• Familiarity with standard network service architectures such as MPLS VPNs and pseudowires.

• Solid understanding of the OSI model and configuration of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, and BGP.

• Experience in constructing infrastructure equipment, such as generators, power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power systems (UPS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), HVAC systems, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems, free-air ventilation, DC and AC power systems, and various building structures designed for telecommunications equipment.
