This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Design, implement, optimize, test, transition, and document sophisticated communication systems in collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams.
• Deliver weekly updates on activities and achievements.
• Supervise the installation of network, server, and RF equipment on-site.
• Conduct both onsite and remote configurations of network, server, RF, and database systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure using system logs and tools.
• Ensure that system logs and event monitoring applications are free of errors.
• Carry out acceptance testing, rectify deficiencies, and provide validated test outcomes.
• Execute performance verification and optimization of advanced digital and legacy analog RF infrastructure.
• Develop strategies to tackle challenging technical issues during system implementation, upgrades, and support.
• Perform preventive maintenance focusing on trend analysis and documentation.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in LMR, RF systems, radio communications, two-way radio, wired/wireless communications, Motorola equipment, telecommunications, public safety, engineering, IP networking, solutions architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or military experience.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN IP networks.
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi v6+ and/or Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+.
• Experience with Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2019.
• Proficient with Windows 7 and 10 workstations.
• Experience with HP and Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of secure products and protocols including KMF, KVL, and AES.
• Understanding of RF systems such as transmitters, receivers, filters, and antenna networks.
• Familiarity with Project 25 products.
• Experience with Motorola base stations, consoles, Astro25 Master Site, Astro 25 Multisite and ASR equipment, Channel Banks, and T1 Circuits.
• Knowledge of standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet-switching techniques.
• Experience with logging recording systems.
• Skilled in using communication system analyzers, RF power sensors, Ethernet test sets, and TIMS.
• Familiarity with Motorola APX and APX Next subscribers and CPS programming software.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Google G-Suite applications.
• Valid driver's license with no traffic violations.
• Ability to obtain background clearance and pass CJIS-related fingerprint background checks.
• Willingness to travel extensively, over 75% of the time.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining an industry network certification such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNA, or Nokia NRS1.
• Legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.; employer sponsorship is not available.
