This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Provide support to the X-Ray Systems division as a Field Service Engineer in Northern Virginia.
• Cultivate customer relationships through technical expertise.
• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at client locations.
• Service laser printers, networks, CR and DR X-ray imaging equipment, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and other hospital apparatus.
• Conduct proactive customer visits and maintain regular communication concerning customer and equipment matters.
• Identify and address customer concerns utilizing escalation procedures.
• Deliver customer service by managing entitlements, expectations, commitments, and arrival schedules.
• Gain an understanding of customers' businesses and competitive landscapes.
• Generate service revenue by providing solutions that align with the service portfolio.
• Adopt, develop, and apply best practices.
• Mentor colleagues and engage in regional team process enhancements.
• Comply with state and federal regulatory, training, quality, and safety stipulations.
• Manage company assets, labor hours, parts, tools, equipment, vehicles, and expenses.
• Complete administrative tasks, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, PMs, installation documents, and site/service records.
• Independently diagnose and resolve electronic, network, mechanical, equipment, and customer-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and associated duties.
• Provide telephone and remote technical support, as well as remote diagnostics when necessary.
• Travel within the territory, which includes daily commuting and occasional overnight stays.
• Associate Degree in electronics or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in the electronics sector, ideally within a field service context.
• Experience in diagnostic imaging is advantageous.
• Familiarity with computers and networking.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Capability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking principles to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Competence in using the necessary tools and test equipment.
• Ability to understand and effectively use technical terminology.
• Skill in reading and interpreting schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-discipline and independence to work autonomously in a high-pressure setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving work demands in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and share knowledge.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that complies with Fleet Policy.
