This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Execute the installation, calibration, and commissioning of GE Precision Healthcare medical imaging equipment, which encompasses Monitoring, Telemetry, and Diagnostic Cardiology systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting on intricate electrical, mechanical, and software-driven systems.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues through circuit analysis, system diagnostics, and software debugging.
• Deliver on-site technical support, respond to service requests, troubleshoot technical problems, and provide operational assistance.
• Partner with clinical staff and healthcare professionals to comprehend equipment performance requirements and enhance system functionality.
• Keep precise service records, documentation, and reports utilizing company-provided tools and systems.
• Oversee assigned inventory of parts, tools, and testing equipment.
• Engage in advanced product training and ongoing education.
• Follow company safety protocols, quality standards, and medical-device regulatory guidelines.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior field engineers.
• Develop and nurture customer relationships through professional demeanor and outstanding service delivery.
• Recognize opportunities for equipment upgrades, service contract renewals, and potential sales leads.
• An Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3+ years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex medical imaging equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing advanced electronic, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical applications associated with medical imaging.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Capable of working independently under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in conveying intricate technical issues to non-technical personnel.
• A customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel extensively within an assigned service area, including overnight stays.
• Ability to lift and relocate equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and to work in hospital and clinic settings.
• Familiarity with medical-device regulatory guidelines, including FDA and ISO standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer applications.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Must pass GEHC background checks, post-offer drug tests, customer access policies, required immunizations, and any additional drug tests or background checks as necessary.
